Visitors saw historic items related to Fanwood, along with a special exhibit of replicas of historic American flags on loan from Scotch Plains resident Joe Refinski. The replicas were previously owned and displayed by Xerox Corp. during the American Bicentennial in 1976. They represent various versions of the American flag during the American Revolution and the country’s early years.

One replica on display was the Grand Union Flag, which pairs the 13 red and white stripes with a Union Jack in the corner.

The Fanwood Museum is maintained and curated by the Fanwood Historic Preservation Commission.
